In short, the game was so good there didn’t seem to be any room for improvement. It boasted an incredible story featuring a group of high school friends attempting to solve a murder mystery, a fantastic soundtrack that had a range of exhilarating tracks, exceptionally well-written characters that you really cared about, and featured an addictive mix of turn-based role-playing action and social simulation. This may strike some as hyperbolic, but it’s arguable that Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 for the PlayStation 2 was a near-perfect game. ![]()
